Searching for technology
Technosignature research considers observations that might indicate technology, including certain radio or optical signals and other proposed detectable effects. These are candidate signatures, not an inventory of discovered civilizations.
The interpretation problem
Human interference and natural processes must be tested. BLC1 demonstrates how an initially interesting signal can acquire a conventional explanation when examined with a verification framework.
